CrystalClear ParaSalt, pond salt is formulated to increase koi and goldfish electrolytic intake. Electrolytes are critical in building and maintaining a healthy slime coat. Electrolytes such as potassium are essential in wound repair and in times of heavy stress.

ParaSalt is excellent for mucous production when healing from a wound. ParaSalt will also help ward off and remove most common protozoan parasites found in koi and goldfish. ParaSalt can be used in a salt bath for heavy infestations or as a routine treatment to keep parasites from entering the pond environment. 10lb bucket treats up to 2,000 gallons.

Routine Application Rate

Apply ParaSalt once a month at the prescribed rates and after a water change, clean-out, or during a seasonal change. Most pond fish stress during these times and need the electrolytes to repair their slime coating.

Persistent Problem Application Rate

Add 16 ounces of ParaSalt for every 5 gallons of water in an isolated bath or quarantine tank for salt baths. Place infected fish in an aerated (use an air stone) bath for 5-10 minutes or until the fish begins to turn over. Remove fish immediately if fish shows any signs of stress. After the bath, immediately remove the fish to a quarantine tank for 30 minutes and monitor the fish closely.
After 30 minutes, place the fish back into the pond. Slowly introduce the fish back into the pond water. Place the fish in a bag of bath water and let the bag float on the pond for 15 minutes. Release the fish into the pond when the water temperature in the bag and pond is the same to avoid shock.

For Best Results

Do not over-apply ParaSalt, and follow directions thoroughly for maximum effect. If you need clarification on the bath application, please consult your local CrystalClear pond professional.

Most of the Marquis Gardens items are shipped within 1-2 days. Some exceptions apply. To get an accurate lead time estimate for any particular item, please feel free to contact customer service at sales@marquisgardens.ca.

All of the items weighing over 150 lbs (or greater than 20 cu.ft.) are shipped via residential truck delivery service. The trucking company will deliver your order, securely packed on a wooden pallet, curbside or to your driveway.

Please inspect the items received and note any damages on the delivery documents provided by the delivery driver. If you have discovered damage to your item(s) upon opening the shipment, please let us know immediately, as the carrier might not take responsibility for the damages after 24-48 hours from the drop off time.

Return Policy

If you wish to return your order in full or in part after it has been delivered, please notify customer support at sales@marquisgardens.ca within 14 calendar days from the order delivery date.

Please be advised, if you wish to return your order after you have received it, you are liable for both original and return shipping-related costs, as well as a credit card processing fee (3% on the refund amount).

If we cut the item to the size or otherwise customize for your order, we, unfortunately, cannot offer a return/cancellation/refund for such items. These items include, but are not limited to EPDM liner, underlayment, pipe, tubing, wire, aggregates, custom cut sheer descents, items with custom finish or color.
