Ensure your pond and its inhabitants receive the best care with KOI PHARMA® Pure Nitro Whole Pond Bacterial Medication by following these straightforward guidelines:

Determine Treatment Needs

  • Preventative/New Fish Dose: Use 25 grams of Pure Nitro per 1,000 gallons of pond water.
  • Heavy Bacterial Treatment Dose: Use 50 grams per 1,000 gallons of pond water for more severe bacterial concerns.

Prepare for Treatment

  • Conduct a 30-50% water change to remove unnecessary organic matter, creating an optimal environment for the medication to work effectively.

Mixing the Medication

  • Measure the appropriate amount of Pure Nitro based on your pond's volume and treatment needs.
  • Dissolve the measured medication in a bucket of pond water, stirring until fully mixed.

Applying the Medication

  • Evenly disperse the dissolved medication throughout the pond to ensure thorough coverage and effectiveness.

Aeration

  • Maintain ample aeration throughout the treatment process, especially in warmer weather, to support oxygen levels for your fish.

Post-Treatment Care

  • After completing the 5-7 day treatment period, perform a 30-50% water change to remove the majority of the medication from the pond.
  • Additional water changes may be necessary to restore the water's clarity. Utilize Koi Pharma® Pond Defender to dechlorinate the water as needed.

Repeat Treatment if Needed

  • Depending on the condition of your pond and fish, a second round of treatment with Pure Nitro may be beneficial.

All of the Marquis Gardens items are manufactured and/or stained to order and are considered Special Order

Most of the Marquis Gardens items are shipped within 1-2 days. Some exceptions apply. To get an accurate lead time estimate for any particular item, please feel free to contact customer service at sales@marquisgardens.ca.

All of the items weighing over 150 lbs (or greater than 20 cu.ft.) are shipped via residential truck delivery service. The trucking company will deliver your order, securely packed on a wooden pallet, curbside or to your driveway.

Please inspect the items received and note any damages on the delivery documents provided by the delivery driver. If you have discovered damage to your item(s) upon opening the shipment, please let us know immediately, as the carrier might not take responsibility for the damages after 24-48 hours from the drop off time.

Return Policy

If you wish to return your order in full or in part after it has been delivered, please notify customer support at sales@marquisgardens.ca within 14 calendar days from the order delivery date.

Please be advised, if you wish to return your order after you have received it, you are liable for both original and return shipping-related costs, as well as a credit card processing fee (3% on the refund amount).

If we cut the item to the size or otherwise customize for your order, we, unfortunately, cannot offer a return/cancellation/refund for such items. These items include, but are not limited to EPDM liner, underlayment, pipe, tubing, wire, aggregates, custom cut sheer descents, items with custom finish or color.
